We got on the mail boat π₯. They told us about safety and we were off. In about 3 hours we stopped at a mussel farm where they told us a lot about Green-lipped mussels (while I had a very early lunch π΄). It was beautiful scenery. Then after a long time at the boat π₯ we stopped again to look at another mussel farm. The skipper( the driver of a boat) let me drive the boat for a while!!!! We stopped at Jacobs bay and did a little walk. It was a long journey back. I liked it!

Mt. Nicholas Farm Experience
We got on the boat to the farm. It took about an hour to get to the station(that’s what they call a farm) with a stop to look at Bob’s Cove. The station was 100,000 acres, 40,000 hectares!!! It went up and over the mountain side.We met the guide at the dock. He was very friendly and funny (well to my parents and other adults). We saw a dog that was amazing!! It could jump about 2 meters!!!!! We went inside a gate and we watched Isabell the dog π herd 2 sheep π to the guide. The sheep were Merino sheep. Most of their wool went to Vietnam to be processed for Icebreaker. We met a lamb named Baaaaaby, then I got to feed it!! They took us to the Woolshed where we started and he shaved a sheep π for us. After that we went inside and had a Plowman’s lunch. A Plowman’s lunch is bread π, tomato π butter/jelly and grapes π ( which wasn’t very big ). It was very interesting.

Kiwi Bird π¦ Park
We went to a kiwi park! We first went to the place that told us where the kiwi feeding was. Kiwis are nocturnal, so they are awake at night. Β Their house was very dark and we had to wait a bit for our eyes to adjust to the dark, but once we did we got to see 2 kiwis from the North island! Then we toured all of the park. We saw Greenstone, and we learned a little about Maori culture. I saw cool birds π¦. I like the Tui bird, I’ll tell you about it in the post called “Eco Sanctuary”. We went to the show called”the conservation show. Birds π¦ flew over our heads!! The kiwi bird isn’t the rarest animal at New Zealand π³πΏ.
It was so so sooooooooooooooo cool that we got to see the kiwi bird and lots of other rare animals!!!!! Maybe you will travel to New Zealand π³πΏ and get to see the kiwi bird too!
Gondola and Luge
I was so excited for the Luge!!!! The view getting to the Luge was amazing. We could see Queenstown. Then we went to the lift for the Luge. Then we went to the track where we got on the Luge carts. It was fun going down the track looking out at the beautiful scenery. Mom only went once. The first time I went with Mom and Dad I had a lot of crashes. The second time I was doing way better than last time. The third time I did even better. Then we went to the place that took us back to the city π.

I had very very very fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phu Quoc
Pretty much every day was like this:
- woke up,
- ate breakfast π³,
- I got in the pool π while they got chairs,
- relaxed and read a book π on the beach π,
- swam on the beach π,
- ate lunch π΄,
- worked at the hotel room,
- ate dinner π΄,
- watched TV πΊ, and
- went to bed.
What is special about Phu Quoc is that we wanted to get away from the cities and Phu Quoc is the perfect place for that. It was typical island life. It had amazing π beaches π and the food was great! It was also 85 degrees every day while it is below zero in Colorado!!!
Arrowtown
When we got to Arrowtown, we hiked along the Arrow river. Miners came in 1860’s. They came for gold. Then we saw the Chinese settlement. A lot of the miners who came were Chinese and they settled on the river. When there was no gold left some people went home, some tried to go home but they lost connection with their Chinese families, and some of them stayed and became farmers. After that we walked into town where we explored and had lunch π΄. Then we went to the Remarkable ( that’s the name) sweet shop where I got a very good mint chocolate fudge!!!!!!! It was so so so so so good!!! We got licorice too! Then we saw the place that invented bungy jumping. We saw people bungy jump too! After that we went to the winery and cheese
Bob’s CoveΒ and Glenorchy
We drove for an hour to get to Bob’s Cove. Then we went on a walk to get to it. We went on after that to a peer. Then that’s when we thought that Mom got lost. The thing is she never told us where she was going!!! We found her back at the car π. Then we went to Glenorchy for a hike and lunch. My favorite part was the drive. It was a very cool scenic drive. I got a book π and Papa π΄ got a NZ π³πΏ T-shirt.
It was very fun!!!
Te Anu Glowworm Cave
Today Nana, Papa, and I went to Glowworm Cave. We rode a boat 30 minutes to get to get to the cave. The entrance to the cave was 4 feet so many people had to duck to get inside the cave. We were walking on a metal walkway with a river running under the walkway. We walked about 300 feet to the Grotto. We got in a boat that held about 10 people. It was completely dark. I couldn’t even see my hand!!!We were in a narrow passage and the guide was pulling a chain to move the boat. We saw 100s of lights that were all Glowworms trying to attract food. The brighter their light the hungrier they are!
IT WAS UNREAL!!!
Milford Sound
We went to the cruise boat. We were on the boat for about 2 hours. We saw beautiful scenery!!! We saw a big waterfall that dropped 520 feet!!! My favorite part was Stirling Falls where we were π― feet from it!!! A lot of people got wet! It was amazing!! “In New Zealand π³πΏ a raindrop is a waterfall waiting to happen”. We saw a couple hundred waterfalls in a small area and they were all beautiful.
Cadbury and the Steepest Street in the World πΒ
I was so excited for Cadbury!!! We went inside and went to the counter. Then we waited for our tour guide. We went inside and they gave us 2 chocolates π«. Then she said “don’t throw you’re chocolate π« bags away”!! She gave us a lot more chocolates π«!!!!!!!! We saw how the factory made it and what was their part in the chocolate making process. Then we went to the top to see the view. On the way back to the building she told us to scream “we won chocolate”!!!!!!! Then 1 ton of chocolate π« came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told us that it was time to go back and we said “why”. We were all sad that we had to leave but then she asked us trivia and I got one right!! She gave me a chocolate π«. We bought some chocolate and we left ππ. After that we went to the steepest street that people lived on in the world π!!!!!!!!! I went all the way to the top! We went down and drove to the house.
It was a very very fun day!!!!!
